Installing add-ons or mods in a game is quite easy, but you may find it difficult to remove them. If you attempt to remove a mod manually, you may delete the wrong files, which can damage your game. Curse Client gives you the possibility of managing add-ons, mods, saves and other game components without any risk to the core files. The application provides support for various online and single-player games, including World of Warcraft, Minecraft, Skyrim and others.

Curse Client is available in free and premium editions. It can be used on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8 and it can be installed in a few moments. You don't have to sacrifice too many resources and there is no need to install any prerequisite tools. Besides installing the application, you also need to create an online account, which can be done fast, on a desktop interface.

Once you log in, the application will display its main user interface, on which you can add your installed games and manage their add-ons. Games can be added by selecting their installation folders on a standard browsing dialog. When you add a new game, Curse Client will bring up its general settings menu as well, where you can make additional settings to the new game entry. Alternatively, you can let the application scan for installed games, if you wish to add them in a single run.

Added games are listed in a column on the left side of the interface and a selected game's components can be managed in the larger area on the right. You can view a game's installed add-ons and mods and look for new ones on separate tabs. Available contents are listed with various details, as well as options for downloading and installing them. The application will let you know if updates are available for certain mods. To update an installed mod, you only need to select it and click a button.

Lost or corrupted save files are a gamer's worst nightmare. To prevent such situations, Curse Client can back up a game's save files automatically. Depending on your settings, save files will be stored in a local or cloud folder, every hour or every few minutes. Another useful feature is the possibility of synchronizing all add-on and mod settings between two or more computers, over the Internet. If you have to reinstall a game or the operating system, you can restore its additional components right away, without any difficulties.

Pros

You can manage add-ons and mods for various games, in a safe manner. Additionally, the application can back up save games and synchronize add-on and mod settings between several machines.

Cons

For the moment, the application supports a small number of games. Installing, reinstalling or removing a game's mods can be done with only a few clicks, thanks to Curse Client's straightforward and easy to understand functionality.
